Brook Trout Basket

• This basket reflects my passion for fishing!  The needles were softened and aged in the oven except for the green ones along the bottom that represent the gasses at the bottom of the waters.  I use natural Irish linen thread to sew with and for the added enhancements.  The enhancements at the front of this basket represent Brook Trout.  The arrangement of stones and branch on the cover represent the branches and rocks found along the brooks and rivers.  The tangled line and hand tied fly represent the situation many fly fishers find themselves in.  The complete basket is coated with natural shellac to seal and preserve the finished basket.
