Alma, an Idaho native, studied at the University of Montana and has spent more than 35 years exhibiting his artwork.
Influenced by his travels throughout Central America and his connection to Native American culture, he draws inspiration from the natural world and believes that a deeper understanding of nature leads to a deeper understanding of art.
Working primarily from imagination, Alma creates distinctive paintings that reflect his desire to bring the spirit of the Earth into people's lives. His work has been exhibited in numerous other galleries, with recent showings in the Kansas City area including Images Art Gallery, Bredin-Lee Gallery, Jones Gallery, and Marcellas Gallery.
