Jeff lives in Brookings, Oregon, and has been a professional photographer for over 30 years! He is author of three books on wildlife, including: The Complete Guide to Bird Photography and Bald Eagles in the Wild! His work has also appeared in National Geographic, National Wildlife, Audubon and many other Publications! Jeff travels the world to create his art, but loves coming home to focus on capturing the beauty in his “backyard”. A graduate of Humboldt State University in 1983 with a BS in Wildlife biology, in 1985 with a BS in Biology, and a life science teaching credential in 1986.  In 2012 Jeff completed his Master’s Degree in science education at the University of Texas. Since 1987 Jeff has been leading photo tours, and photographing nature professionally.  He is currently a full-time photographer.

Jeff’s love of the outdoors stems from his northern California/southern Oregon upbringing.  This enjoyment of nature, with his educational background, has proved to be a perfect complement in producing stunning nature photographs.  A self-taught nature photographer, Jeff considers himself a photonaturalist, producing artful images of mother nature.
