Penny is deeply interested in how experiences transform us. Believing everything is interconnected, she sees experiences and art as seamlessly intertwined. Penny loves that the creative process looks both inward and outward – a way to escape as well as connect – a way to explore her inner world as well as the world around her.

“I paint with hopes that exploring topics visually will lead to insights and discoveries about myself or my subject. I look for what the subject, experience, or form is trying to teach me. My process is an ongoing interplay between looseness and precision; abstraction and representation; design and letting the concept organically evolve.”
