Kristine Ballenger uses many mediums in her artwork—watercolor, acrylic, resin and photography where the only constant is color. She enjoys the interplay of bright hues combined with pattern, technique and subject. For example in resin pieces, she often combines holographic papers in layers resulting in a unique style that provides depth of view. The use of digital photography combined with her original art on metal or giclée print is a new feature in Kristine’s ever expanding creative repertoire as is experimenting with encaustic.
Her work has been sold to collectors across the country and an original painting was used in 2019 by a Massachusetts brewery as a label for a beer they produce. Her artwork can be seen at Second Street Gallery in Bandon and Art and Soul Ashland.
